Field Day

Students will enjoy Field Day on Friday, June 4 (rain date June 11). To maintain appropriate physical distancing, each grade band (K-4 and 5-8) will have a half day outside for field day.

Students working remotely are welcome to attend for their grade level's field day activities. Please email the main office if your remote student would like to attend. Click the image for more information .

Kids Heart Challenge

Northwood School students who participated in the Kids Heart Challenge raised $1,492.12! This donation helps to fund efforts to help millions of Americans through increased awareness of cardiovascular disease, lifesaving scientific research, and critically needed education efforts. Congratulations to our students and thank you to Ms. Martineau for coordinating the challenge!

NEASC Accreditation

Northwood School has been granted initial accreditation by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges! Below, please find the accreditation letter and the report from the visiting team (we're including it again so families have both documents in one place). Congratulations to our staff, School Board, students, families, and community on this great accomplishment! We look forward to working with NEASC to help Northwood School further improve and realize its full potential!

Kindergarten News

This week in Kindergarten our guest teachers taught us about guinea pigs, how to make a secret diary, and how to make and paint a birdhouse!

A big thank you to Parker’s family for building a birdhouse for all of his classmates and one for the tree outside our kindergarten classroom window! The kids enjoyed painting their houses and are very excited to see a new bird family move in!

Softball News

The softball girls are having such a great season! Here are some action shots that were taken at our last few games. The girls are learning and growing each and everyday! They have improved so much in such a short amount of time and Coach Lewis is so proud of all of them. The next game is Tuesday, May 25th right here at Northwood School at 3:45. Come out and support us!

Reminder to Families

Please make sure your child comes to school with a refillable water bottle. As the weather gets warmer, students are drinking more water! Our bubblers are turned off as a covid precaution, so having a refillable water bottle handy helps to ensure that students stay hydrated.

Dail Transportation continues to require that bus riders wear a mask for the duration of the bus ride. Please remind your child(ren) of this expectation. Thank you!
