2025 Giving Tree

The 2025 Giving Tree was a tremendous success! Thank you to everyone who contributed. Your generous donations were very much appreciated. We were able to support several families in our school community. Happy Holidays to everyone.

C.O.D.E. Night

(Community Outreach Digital Education)

On January 7 from 4:00–6:00 PM, we will be hosting a Device Technology Support Night in the school cafeteria. Community members are invited to stop by with a new computer or device they may have received over the holidays and get help with setup or a brief introduction to how it works.

Our students will be available to provide one-on-one support, helping community members navigate common tasks and features of modern devices. Experienced adult volunteers will also be on hand to guide students, assist with more complex questions, or help with setting up personal accounts as needed.

There is no formal program or appointment required. Feel free to arrive anytime during the two-hour window, and we will connect you with a student helper. If additional support is needed beyond January 7, we will be happy to help coordinate follow-up assistance.

We look forward to welcoming community members for an evening of learning, connection, and shared problem-solving. Please contact Mr. Robert with any questions.

Celebrating Students

This year, Northwood School has focused on monthly themes grounded in social-emotional learning, including citizenship, cooperation, and self-awareness. These themes help students build the skills they need to navigate relationships, contribute positively to their community, and reflect on their own growth. Beginning this month, we are excited to take this work a step further by introducing a new way to celebrate students by recognizing academic achievement and those who exemplify our monthly themes.

Beginning in December, students in every grade level will have the opportunity to nominate one or more classmates who they feel best exemplify the theme of the month. These peer nominations encourage students to notice positive behaviors in others and think more intentionally about how social-emotional skills show up in everyday school life. Students who are recognized will receive a certificate during a classroom meeting, grade-level meeting, or other special event.

In addition to our monthly theme recognitions, we will also be celebrating academic effort and achievement by reinstating the Honor Roll and High Honor Roll for students in grades 6 through 8. This recognition acknowledges students’ commitment to their learning and the perseverance required to meet academic goals.

By recognizing academic achievement alongside this month’s focus on compassion, we reinforce our commitment to developing lifelong learners. These celebrations help create a school culture where positive choices, reflection, and hard work are consistently seen, valued, and encouraged.
