DHHS Mask Guidelines

This week, DHHS revised their mask guidelines. They now advise that children can go without masks in outdoor settings, including at recess and during non-contact sports. Northwood School will implement this guidance beginning on Monday, June 7. Students will still need to maintain physical distance when outdoors, to the extent possible. Mask-wearing will continue to be required when indoors and on the bus.

New Website

Northwood School has a new website! We are hoping the new site will be easier to navigate as well as have a fresh look to it. Within the next week, the new website will be live on both of our access domains (northwoodschoolnh.org and northwood.k12.nh.us). Thank you to Mr. Robert for all of his work in designing and creating the new site!

News from Grade 1

First graders would like to give a huge THANK YOU to Mr. Winslow and Ms. Martin for taking the time to bring their honeybees to school! The students had a lot of questions about the bees answered, and learned many fun facts! They especially enjoyed looking in the hive to see the queen!

News from Grade 2

After learning about many kinds of weather earlier this year, we sent in our weather drawings to the Concord Monitor. On June 1st, Isabella Dobson was the first from our class to have her artwork appear on the front page of the paper. We look forward to watching for more!

Kindergarten News

A huge thank you to Mr. Levergood and his rocketry skills. The kindergarteners built their own rockets, painted them, and set them off into space this week. It was a lot of fun! Who knows, maybe we have some future NASA astronauts here in Northwood School!
