Field Day

Field Day will be held on May 30 (rain date of June 6). Please see the flyer for class colors and what to bring.

Let’s Get Going - OUTSIDE!!

Now that the weather is getting warmer, and longer days are beginning to prevail, there is no better time for all family members to venture outdoors. Naturally, springtime seems to improve our moods and lift our spirits, but when combined with playful activities, it is scientifically known to boost mental health. In fact, according to this article by the American Psychological Association, engaging in physical activities and games outdoors can significantly reduce stress and anxiety, enhance mood, and improve mental clarity for both adults and children. Whether it’s a game of tag in the park, a family hike on some local trails, or simply tossing a ball around in the yard, these moments of fresh air have been proven to increase the release of endorphins, often referred to as 'feel-good' hormones. That being said, I encourage you all to check out this article on outdoor adventures, close those laptops, turn off Netflix, and take an hour or two to get outside!  You will be glad you did; I promise! ~Mr. Ling

News from Kindergarten

Teaching time has begun in Mrs. Magnusson’s kindergarten class. Over the next few weeks students will have the opportunity to be the “little teacher.” On their special day, they assist with the morning meeting routine, read stories, and get to teach their lesson that they practiced at home. This week we learned how to build Lego sets, play mancala, jump rope, and sew. Great job, little teachers!

Northwood School Literary Magazine

Ms. Carloni is now accepting submissions for the spring literary magazine. Students may submit original poems, stories, essays, or other writing. Email Ms. Carloni (jcarloni@northwood.k12.nh.us) with any questions!

Exciting news! The 8th grade class is selling our exclusive Laker Monster Pride Croc Jibbitz to help support our upcoming class trip. Order forms were sent home and are also available in the office. Thank you for your support!
