Parent Volunteer Needed

We are looking for a parent volunteer to serve on the calendar committee to develop the 2025-2026 school calendar. The committee generally meets once or twice for about an hour after school (work schedules can be accommodated) in January. One parent will be selected randomly from the pool of volunteers. If you are interested, please contact Jocelyn Young by email or phone (603-942-5488).

Happy Holidays!

‘Twas the first night of holiday break and all through the school

The teachers ran out a’cheering with an exhausted “wah-hoo!”

The kids had been busy with projects galore,

Writing and learning, and always wanting more.

With glue on their hands and crayons on the floor,

Their imaginations soared, and ideas did pour.

A bit of some snow, perfect for sledding and playground fun,

Faces all rosy, cheeks kissed by the sun.

Laugher and football, gaga and tag,

Jumping and tumbling, not a moment to lag.

Our Sunshine Committee made this festivus moment-uous,

Spreading joy and cheer, their efforts tremend-uous.

With smiles so bright and hearts so generous,

They turned every moment into something continuous.

Our music and arts department, always a sight,

Displayed the many talents of our children on holiday show night.

And let’s not forget, A tree just for giving!

And, oh my! How the donations poured in!

Toys, clothes, and warmth—each gift for a grin,

The spirit of kindness blossoms from within.

So now we’ve shared what we have,

And with the joy shining through,

Cheers! to the warmth of the season, &

Consider this poem a gift from all of us to all of you.

Wishing you all a happy holiday season,

Sarah, Mike, & Jocelyn

News from the Library

We celebrated the Hour of Code this month in the library. We learned and practiced binary code, directional coding, and block coding programs.

The 2nd grade classes got comfy and cozy as they watched an animated movie based on Raymond Briggs's wordless picture book The Snowman. Last week we looked at all the different panels of illustrations and filled in the words of the story based on our observations. This week, we enjoyed watching the movie and hearing the music that moves the story forward.

Just having fun in the library!

Coping With Grief During the Holiday Season

While we wish everyone a happy holiday season, we know that several of our families and staff members have been impacted by the loss of a loved one in recent months. This article may be of interest for anyone who has recently suffered the loss of a loved one or who is trying to support someone who is grieving during this season. As always, please feel free to reach out to our school counselors or administration if you need any support or resources.

News from Kindergarten

The kindergarteners have been learning how to play Jingle Bells this month. Today they spread holiday cheer to all. We wish you a happy holiday season, and a fun filled vacation!

Exciting news! The 8th grade class is selling our exclusive Laker Monster Pride Croc Jibbitz to help support our upcoming class trip. Order forms were sent home and are also available in the office. Thank you for your support!
