This Sunday, our entire Norval community comes together at 10 a.m. for an all-ages worship in-person and livestreamed.

We gather for a time of remembrance, honouring those who have served and are serving, and deepening our commitment to peace and justice. We’ll reflect on the power of poetry and hope even in the darkest times. Today we are grateful for the leadership of our youth as we explore what it means to create a world of peace nurturing our world and ourselves in light of memory and a faith that transcends time.

Come and worship with us as we journey along the path of peace and justice.

Rev. Heather – Study Leave

Rev. Heather will be away on study leave beginning next Monday, Nov. 10 and returning on November 18^th.

She will be taking a course at Conrad Grebel as part of their Congregational Leadership certificate program in addition to doing some planning for Advent and Christmas. While she is away, Rev. Paul Ivany is available for any urgent pastoral care matters. He can be reached at: 416-200-5356

WAKING UP: Advent Small Group Study

Christmas invites us each year to wait, wonder, and wake up. Together, we will explore what it means to awaken to the Mystery of Christmas and the story of the Incarnation.

Our three sessions will focus on:

·      Waking Up: Living Teacher, Living Wisdom`

·      Waking Up (again.)

·      Waking Up to Carry the Light Within

You can also join us online by Zoom (link will follow) on Mondays, December 1, 8, and 15, from 7:30–8:30 PM.

We are proud to support the Fill a Purse for a Sister campaign again this year.

Donate a gently used or new purse filled with essential items for women in crisis situations, click  here for suggested items.

Thanks to our partnership with the charity SHIP, these purses represent the first step for women building a better life.

Friendship Group

We meet on Tuesday, November 11^th at 10:00am at NUC.

We will carpool to the cenotaph for 10.30am. After the Remembrance Service we will go for lunch at Killick's Kitchen (times will be confirmed).

Thursdays @ 9:30AM

A bunch of guys meet at the church each week to watch videos, ask big questions and work to find answers. They've also enjoyed having various guest speakers attend. Anyone is welcome to join.
