Good Friday, April 18th

Join us in person or on our livestream at 10 a.m. for Hope for the Journey:

Good Friday—a reflective and sacred service where we remember the life and love of Jesus through story, silence, music, and prayer. In the face of sorrow and injustice, we gather as a community rooted in compassion and a longing for healing. This service holds space for both grief and hope, honouring Jesus’ journey and the wounds still present in our world today.

Through reflection and sacred practice, we are reminded that even in the shadows, love endures and God is with us. Come as you are—bringing all that you carry—and find strength for the road ahead.

Sunday, April 20th

Join us for Easter Celebrations this Sunday! Our Easter Sunrise service will be in-person at 8 a.m. at Wheelbarrow Orchards.

Our celebrations continue at NUC with one service at 10 a.m.—in-person and livestreamed—so the entire community can gather to celebrate Easter and the ministry of Rev. Jen! Come be part of a joyful service filled with music, hope, and story as we proclaim again that God’s love is alive and among us.

We’ll decorate the cross with flowers together as a sign of transformation, and give thanks for Rev. Jen’s faithful and creative ministry with the Norval community. Join us for a celebration of new life, deep gratitude, and the hope-filled ways our community continues to bloom.

A note from

Dear Norval Community,

Thank you! Thank you for seven wonderful years of ministry together. What an adventure it has been, from wagon rides through town as we moved to a new building, to crafts and youth group on zoom, to socially distanced camp, and back to full programs of family movies, teen leadership, youth nights and partnerships with Prism. It has been such a rewarding time being part of this community, and such a gift to watch our "littles" become our helpers and our new leaders along the way. While I may have been the minister, we have definitely created this ministry together: we have grown together, lead together, and built community together.

Even though our paths are now heading apart, I have no doubt you will continue to grow and lead and build together. It is so appropriate that this part of the chapter comes to an end here at Easter. A time that we remember so clearly that while endings are sad, they are also the beginnings of things we cannot even yet imagine. There is much in store for this amazing community, and I look forward to hearing the stories and celebrating your successes from my new position. Know that you have touched me in so many ways, and I will carry you in my heart and my prayers ahead.

With much love, gratitude and deep Easter blessings,

The office

will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Monday.

Enjoy the long weekend! 🌸
