Sunday August 14th

Life's Too Short....To Never Know Forgiveness

To err is human. To forgive is... darn near impossible! We continue our "Life's too short..." series by thinking about forgiveness - what it is, how we do it, what it means to us and to the other. You know, all the easy questions for a summer Sunday!

Come join us to sing, to listen, to pray, to spend time thinking about forgiveness.

We are also excited to celebrate the baptism of three little ones.  Join us for this exciting Sunday celebration!

Watch Sunday's Service Online, Live @ 9:00 AM EDT

Join us in live, online worship this Sunday at 9:00 am.

You can find the service on Facebook Live or on our YouTube channel.

The service will be saved at both locations through the week.

We'll share in communion online this Sunday. Have elements ready.

Join us for In-Person Worship @ 10:00 AM

help us provide a safe and warm welcome to all who gather.

Contact Jen for more information about the event.

We are blessed at Norval United with many dedicated volunteers and staff. Some of the people you know and see often and others work behind the scenes.

Over the next few months we will be highlighting some of the folks at NUC.

Keep a look out each week to meet someone new!

This week, we introduce you to....

Michael Grove

Building Custodian

We asked Michael some questions so you can get to know

him and his role at Norval United.

What is one word that describes you?

Helpful. I like to help others in any way I can.

What are you reading or watching or listening to these days?

I enjoy listening to country music, travelling in the car and working around the house.

What is something you love to do?

I love being the goalie for our Friday night hockey league with my longtime friends.

What do you do at NUC?

I am the Building Custodian at NUC. Since joining recently, I know the NUC community is extremely friendly, kind and approachable. I look forward to getting to know more members of the congregation in the coming months.

What is your favourite thing to talk about?

I love to talk about sports (especially hockey and baseball) and my beautiful granddaughters, Kenzie and Madelyn.

Ways to Serve

We are looking for folks who can help provide treats for Sunday morning's in person service. You can bake, pick up treats from the store, we even love the last minute run to Tim's for Tim Bits.

We love sharing coffee and treats on Sunday morning before and after the service. If you would like to help provide treats for a Sunday morning, you can email Jenny in the office. You can bring them for a specific week or drop them off at the church to be stored in the freezer.

Volunteers Wanted

A big thank you to all the people who have signed up to help out with serving coffee, tea and treats on Sunday mornings. We are looking for volunteers for the last week of August and into the fall. It is a great way to get to know the community. Don't worry if you don't know what to do, we have folks who can walk you through it the first time. If you can help, contact Jenny in the office to sign up for a Sunday.

Other Opportunities to Serve

Here are a few other excellent opportunities:

Kids' Church Leadership (help run an activity with our kids on Sunday)

Welcome Team (a great way to get to know people)

In-Person AV Team (help run the tech in the Sanctuary)

Food Truck Fridays (help set up and welcome/engage the community)

Consider these or other ways you feel called to participate in the life and work of NUC! Contact Jenny Morrison in the office at 905 877 6122 or by email.

I urge you, first of all, to pray

for all people. Ask God to help

them; speak up on their

behalf and give thanks for them.

1 Timothy 2:1
