Please wear a mask

With the increase in COVID cases in the province we have decided that everyone entering Norval United Church is required to wear a mask. This simple act will help keep everyone safe, especially those who are immunocompromised and those who are vulnerable to this virus.

Thank you for showing you care for others by wearing a mask.

Don’t have a camper but want to support this ministry?

You can…

  • Continue to pray for safety, health and wellbeing of all involved in our camp programs this summer.
  • Review our Camp Wish List and make an in-kind donation of gently used or new supplies and materials for camp.
  • Make a monetary donation to subsidize our camper registration fees. Please use our regular donation channels but make a note: “For Camp 2022”.

Can you help?

We are pleased to be a part of GFORCe3. (Georgetown Friends Of Refugees 3). Two families, totalling 9 people have been identified and are presently hiding in Pakistan. They have been accepted into the Canadian government's Operation Afghan Safety program which should expedite their immigration.

It is money that is needed now. The team needs to raise $67,000 to be able to submit the application. We suggest you give via e-transfer or a cheque directly to Norval United since these donations are processed without fees. We'll forward donations to GFORCe3. Click here for ways to donated.

Help us make a different in these lives. Contact Elizabeth Ivany for more info.

"FUN" Raiser for GFORCE3

Please join for a FUN raising belly dancing workshop on Sunday May 15 @ 2pm or Thursday June 2 @ 7pm at St. John’s United Church

You can attend either session or both, if you like. Each participant will pay $30 per session (in advance to book your spot). We have a capacity of 25 people per class. 100% of the money collected will go to GFORCe3.

About our instructor, Auni Boghossian has been dancing, instructing, performing and sharing the joy of dance for over a decade. Auni is generously donating her services for 4 sessions (2 in the Spring and 2 in the Fall) to help bring our Afghani families to safety.

Auni suggests that you bring: 1) a water bottle 2) a mask, depending on restrictions, spacing and your comfort 3) a positive attitude 4) comfortable clothing that will allow you to move freely 5) running or dance shoes and 6) love for yourself.

In turn, you will have fun and feel good about your adventurous spirit, while doing a kindness for others. Please contact: Sue Sibley by clicking here.

I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; speak up on their behalf and give thanks for them.

1 Timothy 2:1

Here are some recent prayer requests
