It's the Third Sunday in Lent and the theme is "The good news is...together the impossible is possible." In this challenging time in this world of ours come and hear some ideas for how we all can get along better.

Get ready — Springtime is on the way! 🌷
On March 8th, we set our clocks forward one hour for daylight saving time.
We may lose an hour of sleep, but we gain longer, brighter evenings.

We will be holding our Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Sunday March 22nd.
At the AGM we will:
1) receive annual reports from the trustees, executive team, committees, and other groups,
2) seek approval of proposed membership for the board of trustees, executive team, committees, and other groups, and
3) seek approval of the draft budget for 2026.
The meeting will begin approximately 20 mins after the in-person service and will be available via Zoom (a link will be provided next week).
A light snack will be served before the meeting and childcare will be provided. The Annual Report will be available online March 12th and a small number of hard copies will be available at the Church on March 15th.
Please plan to join as we celebrate the past year and look forward to the future.

Lenten Small Group Online Study
This is an invitation for you to join us to reflect on Have a Beautiful, Terrible Day! during this season of Lent.
This is a study offered by Kate Bowler and her team. It is an honest and real reflection on what it means to follow Jesus through the ups and downs of our days. It also allows for discussion about life as it really is— I hope you will join us.

National Affirming P.I.E. Day
is coming up and Norval will be celebrating on Sunday March 15th! In addition, we will be celebrating this year's Transgender Day of Visibility - a day to celebrate the lives and contributions of trans people, while also drawing attention to the disproportionate levels of poverty, discrimination, and violence the community faces compared to cisgender (non-transgender) people.
This year we will be selling slices of pie to raise funds for Rainbow Health Ontario.
If you are willing to donate a pie to help with the fundraiser please email Trudy so we can plan accordingly.

Family Movie Night!
Take Friday night, March 27 @ 6.30pm, off of cooking and enjoy pizza and a movie with us!
Family Movie Nights are super relaxed – come in PJ’s, bring blankets, stuffed animals, and friends – all are all welcome.

A bunch of guys meet at the church each week to watch videos, ask big questions and work to find answers. They've also enjoyed having various guest speakers attend. Anyone is welcome to join.

The 21 members of Angels United — the combined team from Hillcrest, Norval, St. Andrew’s, and St. John’s — sincerely thank everyone who supported our Coldest Night of the Year Walk on Feb. 28.
We were proud to be the second largest team and second highest fundraisers, contributing $10,976 toward Georgetown’s total of $66,674 in support of The Georgetown Bread Basket and Links2Care.

World Water Day
Join us in celebrating World Water Day on Thursday, March 19 at 6:30 PM at the John Elliott Theatre, 9 Church St., Georgetown.
We will be screening The Whale and the Raven, the film takes us to the Great Bear Rainforest in northern B.C. where researchers work with the Gitga'at First Nation to protect the land and waters for the whales and wildlife.
