Christian “Indoctrination” Prompts Norwegian Government to Remove Children from Family

On November 16, 2015, Norway’s child services, Barnevernet, removed five children from a Romanian family after a school official expressed concern about the family’s beliefs, including the belief that God punishes sin. Government documents charged the parents with being “radical Christians who were indoctrinating their children." The children are now being placed for adoption.

The dispute between animal rights activists acting on behalf of the macaque, and the camera's human owner came down to a question of standing as the judge ruled that there is "no indication" that the Copyright Act extends to animals.
