Bus Drivers Create Video to Lift Students' Spirits

School bus drivers from First Student Bus Company have put together a video to encourage Norwin students and tell them how much they miss them.

According to Mr. Jim Varner, who serves as First Student's Norwin location manager , "Norwin School Bus Drivers are a special breed. They care for each student as their own. With the sudden end of the school year, the drivers did not get to congratulate the seniors or wish the others to have a great summer. Here is a video they put together to do so."

Two High School Students Recognized at Pittsburgh Regional Science & Engineering Fair

Under the direction of teachers Mr. Brian Nevi and Mrs. Natalie Nevi, students in the Science Research Class participate in the Pittsburgh Regional Science and Engineering Fair held each spring. Students create their own hypothesis, conduct an experiment, and report their findings by creating backboards as part of the science research class.

This year’s fair was cancelled due to the Coronavirus pandemic, but two students -- Cecilia Fidler and Josephine Toth -- were still recognized for their research plans that were submitted prior to the shutdown.

Cecilia's project was titled " Computational Conception: Analysis of Efficiency in Algorithmic Organization."

Josephine's project was titled, "How Long Do Cleaning Products Remain on Surfaces?"

Congratulations to these two young scientists on their recognition!
