Bodhi Spa Ribbon Cutting

Morrill Memorial Library's Entrepreneurship 101: Starting and Growing Your Small Business



"Are you somebody thinking of setting up a business, but hesitant to take that first step? Or are you somebody who has a business idea, but would like to know the nuts and bolts of setting up a business? Would you like to learn from local entrepreneurs about their own experiences?


If the answer to any of these questions is a yes, then look no further. Morrill Memorial Library is excited to launch a series of programs on the topic of business building called Entrepreneurship 101.


For our third program in the Entrepreneurship 101 series, the library is thrilled to bring together three local entrepreneurs and business leaders for a panel talk. The program is called Lessons from Local Business Leaders. The broad theme of the talk is their personal entrepreneurial journey. The speakers are,

Moderna wins Major Award


This past April, Moderna was awarded the Summit Achievement Award at MassEcon's 21st Team Massachusetts Economic Impact Awards. According to MassEcon, "Werfen received its second Economic Impact Award (received the award as Instrumentation Laboratories in 2017), and Moderna received its second Economic Impact Award for regional expansion in Massachusetts. Moderna also received the Summit Achievement Award for continued expansion and investment throughout Massachusetts for 15 years. This is a unique award, having been presented once before in 2023."

Norwood-based VeraMorph Awarded START Grant


We are thrilled to celebrate VeraMorph's achievement in securing a START grant from MassVentures. Veramorph joined 24 other startups that will help shape the future of the Massachusetts economy.


The START program provides non-dilutive funding of $100,000 to $500,000 to companies with a Phase 2 SBIR or STTR award. These grants help cover essential business needs, like marketing, business development, and IP strategy. START supports companies across Massachusetts in areas like cleantech, biotech, advanced materials, and quantum computing.
