Hello everyone:
I hope your summer is going well, and that you're muddling through the steamy weather (at least here in the Midwest). I can't believe it, but August is just around the corner.
After our Alaska adventures in June, we spent a few weekends with family much closer to home. Then, last week, I moved my youngest son back to campus for his senior year - wow! And in just a few weeks, our middle son moves home from Alaska to unpack, repack and move to campus for grad school. Sheesh!
We're complex creatures, aren't we? And we all have those stories to tell. How some weeks are dedicated to travel, or back to school tasks, or work, or an illness, or maybe all of it all jumbled together. And sometimes we have to prioritize our actions amidst equally important roles or responsibilities. Which means - sometimes, something has to give. Some tasks have to take a back seat to other tasks because not everyhing can be first.
Want to learn more, and hear about back-to-college shopping and my new landscaping? Yes, I bring it all together in this week's new article, "Not Everything Can Be First: Choosing What Matters Most".
Do you live near me? Evergreen Park Public Library is... Amazing! Looking to support our community and / or Clear Clutter? Here's how:
- This week, drop off your used-but-in-good-condition books, CDs and DVDs at the Library to be sold in the annual Summer Book Sale, August 4-9th, proceeds to benefit the Library.
- Our EPPL hosts monthly Food Drives to benefit The Village Pantry. July's items are Cake Mixes and Frosting, and August's items are non-perishable school snacks. I'm thinking granola bars and poptarts!
- Now through August 15, the EPPL is hosting the Village School Supply Drive, in coordination with the Village of EP and EP Youth Department. Drop off new and gently used backpacks, and new school supplies.
- I will present "Clear the Clutter" at the Evergreen Park Public Library on Thursday, Augsut 14th at 6 pm. Come out and join me! (And bring your school supplies and non-perishable school snacks!)

Talk to you next week!
