NOT My Cross To Bear!!! 10/13/24
Hebrews 12:1-4 (KJV)
1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.
4 Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.
I am VERY EXCITED to write today's sermon!!! In fact, I couldn't wait to get here today!!!!!
As I was “FIXIN” to go to bed the other night, I was AGAIN somewhat depressed and deflated as to a “seemingly” ANOTHER defeat-the enemy of OUR souls had ONCE AGAIN used “the same ole same ole” attack on me and AGAIN “seemingly” defeated me AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I write the words “AGAIN” because the devil uses the “same ole same ole” tactics AGAIN AND AGAIN until we are able to stop him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SELAH-THINK ABOUT THIS IN YOUR LIVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WE are ALL vulnerable to satan's wiles because satan well knows each of our weaknesses and uses our vulnerabilities AGAIN AND AGAIN against EACH of us-he knows how to hurt and attack us.
As my beloved and dear friend has well spoken:
“WE THINK THAT OTHER PEOPLE WILL NOT DO TO US WHAT THEY DO/DONE TO US BECAUSE WE WOULD NOT DO THAT TO THEM!!!!!!!!!!!????”
That is categorically a LIE/MIS-TRUTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY WILL AND DO!!!!
And sadly/believably it is TOO OFTEN those closest to us that wield the knife!!!!

Let me repeat myself:

I am still amazed at what happened to me last Friday night!!!!!
I try to read my BIBLE daily/nightly NOT looking for fodder to preach on but WORDS OF LIFE from God to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I TRY TO READ MY BIBLE FOR ME/ME/ME/ME!! I want/NEED to HEAR from God!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My wonderful friend and brother, Pastor Bill, wrote recently that:

Yesterday was the 12th of October and I TRY to read a PROVERB daily that corresponds to the day-thus I wanted to read Proverbs 12 before I went to bed.
INCREDIBLY, I distinctly HEARD God telling me to instead read the opening Scriptures above-HEBREWS Chapter 12:

YOU do have a CROSS/CROSSES to bear!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
I don't care/GOD DOESN'T CARE who you are and where you come from, or how much money/fame/power you have.......................
ALL HAVE A CROSS TO BEAR-ALL/EVERYONE-INCLUDING YOU!!!!!!!!!!!
No matter how much GOOD you desire to accomplish, satan is there to stop and defeat you, satan is there to discourage and dishearten YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DO NOT VIEW THE DEFEAT AS A DEFEAT!!! Bear your defeat as a badge of HONOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hebrews 12:5-8 (KJV)
5 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:
6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
WE ARE THE “SONS” OF GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
TODAY bear your CROSS proudly!!!!!!!!
