UEN resources highlight contributions that African Americans have made to the history and culture of the United States.
  • Dino Fest: Check out the Natural History Museum of Utah’s fifth-annual DinoFest, a celebration of all things dinosaur! The online festival will be hosted over 10 weeks. Watch Friday mornings at 10 a.m.
  • Service Via Video Contest: UEN has partnered with Next Vista for Learning to support Next Vista's 2021 video contests. K-12 students are invited to participate in the Service Via Video contest. K-12 students and teachers are eligible to participate in the Creative Recovery video contest.
  • Random Acts of Kindness Day: Feb. 17. Kindness in the Classroom provides a free social-emotional learning curriculum for elementary and middle-school classrooms.
  • Digital Learning Day: On Feb. 25, join the thousands of teachers and students as they celebrate digital learning. You can add your school to the map at #DLDay.
Career Education
Biology: From Molecules to Man – Gain insights into STEM careers from prominent African American scientists who discuss their research and the role of science and math in society and education. Monday, February 8 at 9 p.m.

  • Second Opinion with Joan Lunden TV host Joan Lunden assembles a panel of medical experts to examine a real patient story to examine treatments and solutions to a medical condition. Fridays at 8 p.m. beginning Feb. 19
