Assateague Island National Seashore, a barrier island, is completely protected and totally wild. There aren't many places like it left in our world. Take the time necessary to explore it as it truly deserves! On Sat. Sept. 16th we'll launch at Old Ferry Landing and paddle south, quickly leaving the crowds behind and entering into a world populated by herons, skates, osprey, wild horses, and blue crabs. We'll cover about 3-4 miles of uninhabited beaches and salt marshes before turning around and paddling back to civilization.
