Hello Church Family,
I pray all is well with you and your family during these trying times. I have been going through our church roster and praying over the names of the people in our church family along with other requests that I have received.
Prayer is so important for us in these days. Prayer is our way of entering the Throne Room of God and having a conversation with Him. Prayer also demonstrates our trust in Him to provide, protect, hear, and heal. If you think about it, when we commit time to pray, we are living by faith and not by fear. Prayer is so important in these days. I hope that you are making prayer a priority in your daily rhythm of life.
Speaking of prayer, I want to encourage you to set aside the noon hour on May 7th to join us online for a church wide prayer meeting. Don't worry, you will not have to pray out loud if you do not wish to, but I do believe that it is so important for us to pray together as a community of believers. Prayer is so important in these days.
May 7th is the National Day of Prayer. I am so thankful for Kathleen Chandler who has organized this online prayer meeting for our church family. Don't miss out on this exciting time together. (See details below)
Over the past few weeks, COG has been able to serve over 2,500 free lunches to our community and have had many opportunities to pray with people. We have been able to distribute 142 Bibles to people as well. Church... people are open to the things of God today. Let's be gentle and wise in our approach, but let's be bold in our witness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I am so proud of our church's commitment to being the best church FOR our community.
