A Note From Sharon
First of all, I want to thank all of you who connected with me last week. It was so good to touch base and see how everyone is doing. And a big thanks to all who ordered clothes online, bought gift certificates and just checked in. I appreciate everyone's effort to help In Full Swing through this challenging time.
How's everyone holding up at end of Week 2? I know, for me, this week seemed to go much faster than last. On the other hand, witnessing the pandemic unfold is extremely frightening and stressful.
How are you coping with life at home? Is your house spotless? Closets organized? Yard work all done? Mine isn't. I figure if I get up, shower, get dressed and maybe get out for a walk, it's a successful day. Time to lower some expectations and be gentle with ourselves.
For example, I have been discovering many wonderful exercise classes online. Not being able to go to the pool was a big adjustment for me, but I will say it pushed me out of my comfort zone and forced me to explore some other options that have been really great. Here are a few of the great resources I have discovered:
The Oakland Y has several daily class options online:
I just did a Zumba class with these wonderful women:
I love that I can check out classes in the privacy of my own living room. You can choose if you want to be seen or not, if you want to chat or not...It's been a great way for me to explore exercise options at my own pace, in my own way.
Have you found any wonderful online resources you want to share? Email me a link and I will try to include it in the next email.
I am miss being in the store with all of you. Wishing everyone good health and gentleness through this difficult time.
