Dear Colleagues,
School is now in full swing in many states and soon to start in others. I’m willing to bet you’ve already been busy solving transitional cases for the children of military families. It’s what we do!
The Annual Business Meeting is not far off. Please be sure to register if you haven’t already! We have some important items of business to cover, not least of which is to put the finishing touches on the new Strategic Plan.
There will be several new faces at the ABM – you’ll meet our new Commissioners from Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, and Wyoming. I’ve had the opportunity to speak with most of our new colleagues, and am excited at the chance to meet them in person!
We’ll also welcome our new Communications Associate, Elizabeth “Beth” Workman. If anyone could have been tailor made for the job, it’s Beth. With a bachelor’s degree in communications, a master’s in public administration, and a strong background in public service and nonprofit organizations, I think you’ll agree that she’s perfect for the job. Welcome, Beth!
Take care and keep taking care of the kids. It’s an honor to serve with you!
Respectfully,
John I. “Don” Kaminar
Chairman (AR)
