The February minutes and financials were presented and approved. Documents are available on the website.
Elizabeth Rehling reported that 61 homeowners participated in an informative Annual Block Watch event on March 6. The drone capabilities - that Scottsdale has put in place - are commendable.
Thanks to the Neighborhood Watch team - specifically, Elizabeth, Andy Stevenson, Mimi Dolan, and Kay and Wayne DeBus - for making the March 6 event happen.
Regarding:
- Palm tree trimming, Elizabeth requested help. Thanks to Dale Freese for volunteering. They will share responsibilities this year. Dale will take over in 2026.
- The Thornwood/Highland gate has a new hydraulic gate closure for a cost of $1,245.
- Larry Mithelman proposed a ramada & bathroom non-slip floor resurface (cost of $2,900).
- Larry also proposed that one of the shuffleboard courts be converted to a bocce ball court (cost of $2,150). After much discussion, the board approved both projects.
During the Homeowners’ Forum, Cindy Johnson noted that there is some peeling of the outside walls surrounding the common area. Cindy, Ralph Whitney, and Steve Sumrall will meet to follow-up.
A lower bid for palm tree trimming is expected for the April meeting.
