There's going to be a LOT of holiday baking and cooking in the next few months. Make sure to save those box tops for the winter collection date. Box tops will be collected again on Friday, March 8th 
Check your cereal boxes, ziplock bag boxes, butter packaging, fruit snacks, etc. for the Box Top logo. We'll take them any way that you can send them in, but if you or your children have time to trim around the box tops, that saves our box top crew some time.  If you have any questions, please email the PTO at

I hope you enjoyed the extra day with your kids this weekend. Second semester has started with lots of cool stuff happening at school including units of study on civil rights, science fair, and astronomy. I'm proud of our teachers, staff, and students who all came back from break ready to work hard and learn amazing things!  

Lemonade with the principal on Friday afternoon if you are interested. Our school is a better place for the families in it and I am so happy to be part of this community. You rock!

Girls on the Run Starts TOMORROW!

Girls on the Run (GOTR) is an after school program that promotes the physical and emotional wellness of girls from 3rd grade to 5th grade. The goal of the program is to gain confidence through accomplishments that will lead to a lifetime appreciation of health and fitness.  
We are looking girls to start January 22nd - April 11th, meeting Tuesdays and Thursdays, after school for 12 weeks. Led by Dale Flannery, girls will come together to be taught life skills through positive emotional, social, mental and physical lessons. The physical activity is interspersed into the program with a celebratory, non-competitive Girls on the Run 5K at the end of the session (April 13, 2019).

Track Meet Tryouts

Each year the Amphi District holds a track meet at CDO for 4th-5th graders that is run by the CDO Staff and track team. This year it will be held on Friday, March 1st during the school day.  
4th and 5th graders who want to be considered to represent Copper Creek at the track meet must be in good standing with their classroom teachers (following rules and showing trustworthy behavior) as well as be a top finisher in at least one event during tryouts.   
Events include a sprint, hurdle, long jump, mile, and softball throwing events, as well as two relays. One boy and one girl per grade per event will make the team. There are 9 events,
so 36 students will make up the team, as well as 2 boys and 2 girls as alternates.

This is totally optional for students who are selected. If they make the team, but don't want to go, the next student on the list will be selected. All students will participate in the PE track unit and their best times and farthest jumps/throws will be recorded.
We're excited for this year's track unit and Amphitheater's Everyone Wins Track Meet 2019!

Are you Interested in Cheerleading?
Join the Amphi High School Varsity Cheer Team for a Youth Cheer Camp!
This clinic will be held on the following dates:
Registration/First Day - Wednesday January 23rd at 5-6 PM
2nd Day - Monday, January 28th at 5-6 PM
Performance Day - Tuesday, January 29th at 6pm
  • Cost of camp is $30 per student, and this includes a t-shirt, and a cheer bow.
  • The students will perform during halftime during the home basketball game on January 29th.

Boots & Bling, our Annual Silent Auction & Reception is quickly approaching, on Saturday, March 30th and we need your help!

We are currently accepting donations for our Silent Auction. We DO NOT want you to purchase something to donate, however, if you own a business or know someone who does, please ask them to donate to your child's Silent Auction.

It's very easy to ask for a gift card or basket from places we regularly go.  
We are also in need of bigger items too, including: Vacation Home rentals, Hotel packages, Birthday Party packages, Sporting Event Tickets, Memorabilia, etc.

For those of you who have a talent to share, you could donate your time, for example: music lessons, sewing lessons, swimming lessons, art classes, landscaping.

If you know of anyone who would be willing to donate any of these items please let them know about our auction.
