November 2021
Holiday Fund Payout

If you contributed to
Complete Care’s Holiday Fund,
payouts will take place on November 12, 2021.
Complete Care offers PTO payout of a maximum of 40 hours at the end of the year.

Any employee wishing to receive a PTO payout will need to enter a request in Paycor. Please request PTO for the date of December 31st and include the word "Payout" in the notes. Payroll will watch for these requests and make sure they are listed on the check as PTO Payout. (Please note, there is not a specific PTO “payout” request button in Paycor.) This will be paid on the first check in January.

Eligibility for PTO Payout is a minimum of one year as a full-time employee, per the employee handbook.

Because some teammates took less time off this past year during the pandemic, staff can roll over up to 100 hours of PTO into the new year (in addition to cashing out up to 40 hours of PTO). There is no action required on the employees part for rolling over hours, but keep in mind the cap is 100 hours.

Example: Employee has a PTO balance of 68 hours on December 31. A PTO "Payout" request is entered for 40 hours on December 31. The balance of 28 hours will roll over and 40 hours will become the PTO payout on the employee’s check.
Please make sure your
address in Paycor is correct!
2022 Open enrollment dates are:
November 15th thru November 21st.
Don’t miss your chance to elect your company sponsored benefits for the upcoming year.
The times are changing, and we need to make sure we protect mission critical data and patient information. We will soon be rolling out the Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) program which is an authentication method that requires the user to provide two or more verification factors to access his/her company email.
Congratulations to the new

Joi Robinson
RT ~ Culebra
Joi started as a FT CT Tech with us at Culebra in 2016 and she's just about to hit her NICKEL mark here with 5 years on Nov 15.

Not only does Joi take her main profession seriously, diligently staying on top of her radiology exams and CT studies, but she also is one of our lab gurus. Joi helps to make sure the lab at Culebra stays in top form completing all daily/monthly QCs that are needed, maintaining the lab machines, and literally waiting with open gloved hands to run patient blood samples after clinical staff members are finished drawing blood.

Joi is always ready to lend a hand to help on her shift or to help out with something that may be outside of her normal job description such as supply ordering. Whether it's to assist with patient care, put away supplies, help with supply ordering, or just helping the team by getting food on a busy shift, Joi is A JOY to work with and a very valued member of our Culebra family.

Joi has two kiddos, one girl and one super cute bouncing boy who keeps her and her hubby busy. To say Joi is into fitness would be an understatement! Joi's main struggle working at Culebra is trying to keep the not-so-nutritious food that the rest of us eat at bay while she does her best to try and eat healthy...hahaha!

THANK YOU, JOI for your five years of dedication to the CEC Family and for hustling to help your team!

De Zavala is the winner of the Q3 21 Service Excellence Award. The winner is based on the Press Ganey Likelihood to Recommend score.

Eleven out of sixteen facilities finished above the ninety fifth percentile for Likelihood to Recommend this quarter.

As a company, we had a 4.7 Google rating.

Congratulations to the De Zavala team!

Congratulations Erika
on achieving this recognition and
winning $250! She is one of our PAS team
members at Colorado Springs. How we
conduct ourselves on the phone makes a
world of difference to our patients and community.
You exemplify quality customer service!
Heather Sowards has a huge shout out for...
Stacey McWilliams
I want to give a shout out to Stacey for keeping our departments month end close tasks and being my second set of eyes for the BBVA to PNC bank conversion. We couldn’t have done it without her! Saving us headaches and time as always!
Erik Neri would like to recognize...
ALL of his fulltime Nurses at
Brooks City Base and Culebra
Vicente, Kay, Vanessa, Sam, Judith, Josie and last but definitely not least, Julie.

Through all of our staffing shortages, call-outs and a few scheduling mistakes on my part (😲) you all have volunteered to help cover shifts, stay late, come in early, work other facilities and go well outside your scope to ensure we always have coverage.

Life and work can definitely be stressful, however, having a team like you all helps so much!

Thank you all for your hard work, everyday/night.
Rebecca Sonney sings the praises of...
Salina Sciantarelli
Salina Sciantarelli is an RT that I have worked along side since 2017 (Express ER).
She is overall an amazing human! She is one of the people I can go to when a good laugh or joke is needed.
She always shows up for her team and goes above and beyond for our facility. She treats our patients and everyone who walks through our doors with kindness and hospitality. I am sad to see her go (PRN), but I am happy for all the new opportunities coming her way. She is a hard worker and deserves all the recognition.
Happy Birthday Salina! We appreciate your years of dedication and will miss seeing you around 3 days a week.
Tim Smith has a special shout out for...
Heather Sowards and Nicole Taylor
The Payroll team is phenomenal!
Last weekend, while traveling, we got "caught" in Oklahoma City by a huge thunderstorm. This storm contained large hail, damaging winds and had a history of creating numerous tornadoes. We didn't want to travel thru it so we spent the night in Oklahoma City. I did realize I would not be home or near a computer in time to complete my payroll so, I reached out to the payroll team and they responded via email, immediately, with all the required info I needed to make the payroll process smooth and to where I could finish it.
This is a very small example of the great work the payroll team does each and every day.

I want to say THANK YOU to them for a job well done!
Another team getting high fives....
Randy Roundtree and Danny Lopez
Several departments have spoken to Julie Radley and wanted to offer their gratitude to Randy and Danny for always being responsive, easy to work with, and for follow-up until all problems are resolved.
Human Resources, Radiology and our nursing teams all mentioned them both to Julie on the same day! Fantastic job guys!!!!

Kamesha Ross knows
Kerry Wakefield
is making a big difference!
Kerry is warm, patient, and helpful to the front desk team. She consistently helps with answering phones and she has an amazing phone demeanor -- some of the best I’ve heard on the team! She extends that same warmth and caring attitude to our patients. She is an entertaining story-teller and shares some of the best stories. I always look forward to my shifts with her.
Thank you for being part of the team, Kerry!
Two physicians are receiving recognition
from their respective teams....
La Vernia's Dr. Tom Dorrell and
Culebra's Dr. Edggar Frausto
Both Dr. Dorrell and Dr. Frausto have been seen rolling up their shirt sleeves and lending an extra set of hands when their nursing teams are busy. They step out of their role to take vitals and discharge patients when needed. This is what makes Complete Care stand out from all others.

Thank you both!!!
Dr. Dorrell
Dr. Frausto
Miles Erwin, Joel Mata, Al Herrera and Marcus Schniers comprised a team that represented Complete Care in the BASA Golf Tournament in San Antonio recently, of which we were one of the sponsors. While they didn't take home the trophy that day, fun and a few birdies were had along the way!
Participants were provided Complete Care swag.
Miles Erwin was up EARLY to support the "Valero Ride to the River". It helps raise awareness and funds for Multiple Sclerosis.
