Dear Dewberry School of Music Family,

Please join us this Sunday December 5th at 7 pm for a beautiful Holiday Concert featuring our Mason Symphony Orchestra (directed by Dr. Soo Han) and University Choirs (directed by Dr. Lisa Billingham). Repertoire includes Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite, Haydn's Te Deum, Handel's Hallelujah Chorus, and beloved holiday favorites. Please purchase your tickets now for this memorable Dewberry School of Music Holiday Concert showcasing our instrumentalists and singers. 

We are pleased to present numerous free ensemble concerts on campus, including Mason Steel Pan Ensemble, Latin American Ensemble, and Braddock Road Brass Band (tonight at 8 pm), Duo-Piano Chamber Recitals, Classical Guitar Ensemble, and the String Chamber Concert.   

We are thrilled to share our music within the community including a special Woodwinds Concert at Fairfax Old Town Hall next Wednesday, December 7th at 7 pm. You also have the opportunity to hear our Tuba Euphonium Ensemble at the Fairfax and Herndon Holiday markets. 

Finally, be sure to purchase tickets for the American Festival Pops Orchestra (directed by Professor Anthony Maiello) on December 10th and 11th for an incredible holiday treat!

GaYoung Lee (DMA candidate in piano performance in the studio of Dr. Linda Monson) has won a Gold Medal in the 2021 Grand Maestro International Music Competition!  A worldwide competition organized by the Concours de Musique et des Beaux Arts Canada, the Grand Maestro International Music Competition comprises a panel of international concert artists, university professors from renowned musical institutions, and experienced pedagogues.  Congratulations to GaYoung Lee on winning a Gold Medal (Piano-Professional Category) in the prestigious 2021 Grand Maestro International Music Competition!
