Dear Mason School of Music Family,

Please join us this weekend for our Mason Opera production of Henry Purcell's Dido and Aeneas with performances in Harris Theater and Old Town Hall Fairfax. This compelling Baroque opera brings to life the powerful and complex story of Dido, an ancient, mythological Queen of Carthage, and her love for the Trojan warrior, Aeneas. This beautiful but tragic love story is brought to life by an outstanding cast of exceptional young voices with rich period costumes, period instruments, and contemporary sets.

We are also very excited to present Mason's Guitar Ensemble Saturday, December 1st in the deLaski Performing Arts Building. Under the direction of Matthew Trkula, our Mason Guitar Ensemble will present a wonderfully diverse program that the entire family will enjoy.

We also hope you will join us for our upcoming Holiday Concerts and for our many daytime departmental recitals, masterclasses, and performances. Our Mason students love to share their wonderful music with you!

Warm regards,
Dr. Linda A. Monson
