Dear Mason School of Music Family,
We are thrilled that our Mason
SoundCheque Vocal Ensemble had the opportunity to perform in Cologne, Germany last week, under the direction of Dr. Stan Engebretson, Director of Choral Activities. They received a wonderful review from the
Ruhe Nachtrichten Dortmund for their performance of Duke Ellington's Sacred Concert and the world premiere of
Da Pacem by Michael Villmow. We are extremely grateful for support from Mason's
Global Discovery Program (through the Provost's Office and the Global Education Office) for this amazing global performance experience for our students.
Please join us for two outstanding
Faculty Artist Recitals this weekend at Mason featuring Dr. Kathleen Mulcahy, clarinet and Prof. June Huang, violin this Saturday night at 7 pm and Prof. Christopher Jewell, bassoon this Sunday night at 7 pm.
We hope you will reserve
Saturday, May 4th, for our School of Music Gala celebration--
A Musical Feast! This will be a not-to-be-missed event showcasing our extraordinary student talent!
Warm regards,
