Dear Mason School of Music Family,

Please join us for a terrific lineup of concerts this weekend. Our Faculty Artist Series continues tonight at 8 pm with Mason celebrated composer, Dr. Glenn Smith, in a fantastic Composition Recital of new works. We
are thrilled to present the Ellington Sacred Concert tomorrow evening with Mason's University Singers & Sound Cheque Vocal Ensemble with the Youth Jazz Orchestra of North Rhine-Westphalia. Our Mason Singers received wonderful reviews as they recently presented this program in Cologne, Germany under the direction of Dr. Stan Engebretson. We now have the opportunity to experience Ellington's Sacred Concert tomorrow evening at Mason.

Mark your calendars now for our Wind Symphony and Symphonic Band Concert Tuesday, February 26th and our Mason Symphony Orchestra with stellar soloists on Monday, March 4th. Please join us for our School of Music upcoming concerts and masterclasses and experience fabulous music-making by our student artist, faculty artists, and guest artists.

Save the date of Saturday, May 4th, for our gala School of Music celebration: A Musical Feast. This is a not-to-be-missed event that celebrates the breadth and depth of our extraordinary School of Music students!

Warm regards,
Dr. Linda A. Monson
