We are so very proud of our 80 Music Graduates that earned bachelors, masters, and doctoral music degrees at Mason's Spring 2019 Commencement ceremony. We are thrilled that our Mason Chorale recently sang at Carnegie Hall under the direction of Dr. Lisa Billingham. Our Tuba Euphonium Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. David Porter, recently performed for the International Tuba Euphonium International Conference in Iowa. I just returned from the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM) Commission conference where I had the responsibility of evaluating nationally accredited music programs in various universities and conservatories throughout the United States.
I want to recognize and thank our terrific administrative team in our School of Music. I am grateful to
Dr. Tom Owens, Associate Director of the School of Music, for his wonderful expertise and dedication to our students. I want to thank
Dr. Lisa Billingham for her devoted service as Director of Graduate Studies (DGS) for the past several years. She is excited to conduct the Mason Chorale and to teach choral music education classes in the upcoming academic year. We are pleased to welcome
Dr. Gregory Robinson as our new Director of Graduate Studies (DGS) for the School of Music, effective June 17th.
Additionally we are happy to announce our new Director of Brass,
Dr. Alan Carr, who will be joining us in August. Finally, we hope you will join us for terrific jazz concerts here at Mason on June 23-28 for our
