Dear Mason Music Family,

We are very excited to present our Fall Choral Concert this Sunday, October 20th at 3 pm and our Mason Percussion Ensemble Concert on Sunday, October 27 at 4 pm. We are eagerly anticipating the Fall Musical Production of "Rags" on October 31-November 2 presented by the Schools of Theater and Music.  Please read the wonderful interview with CVPA Dean Rick Davis regarding this extraordinary work .

It was great seeing many of you at recent terrific concerts that were presented by our School of Music students and faculty, including the Mason Wind Symphony, Mason Symphony Orchestra, and the Annual Faculty Artist Showcase Recital.

Hope to see you this weekend at Mason's Center for the Arts for our Fall Choral Concert! We thank you for your support of our Mason Music students and faculty!

Warm regards,

Rags
Directed by Dr. Rick Davis
Musical Direction by Prof. Joe Walsh
October 31st - November 3rd
Center for the Arts

Composed by the creators of Wicked, Godspell, Annie, Bye Bye Birdie and other American classics, Rags is a heart-warming and powerful tale showcasing the grit and optimism of immigrants arriving in Ellis Island at the turn of the 20th century.

Mason’s Schools of Theater and Music have a rare opportunity to work with the award-winning creative team on this new adaptation of a hidden musical gem. Be among the first to hear Rags’ newly revised libretto in this D.C.-area premiere, and take in the ravishing score and sweeping saga of American’s immigrant past blending with new American values.
