Dear Mason School of Music Family,
We are excited to share glorious music performed by our Mason faculty and student artists! We are pleased to host two very special daytime events with Kimberly Fisher of the Philadelphia Orchestra in a violin masterclass and a concert featuring Mason alumna pianist HyunJi Kim (2015 BM Piano Performance) with her chamber ensemble from Ewha Women's University, Seoul, Korea. We hope you will join us for our fabulous Faculty Artist Series and outstanding jazz concerts at the Hylton Performing Arts Center and Blues Alley, Washington D.C.
Our Mason students and alumni continue to make us proud! Congratulations to Mason's contemporary music ensemble, New Sound Collective, that was recently nominated for two Washington Area Music Awards (Wammies) for Best Classical Album and Best Classical Artist! Kudos to Mason alumnus Vincent Oppido (2008, BA Music; 2010, MM Conducting) who composed and arranged music for the latest Star Wars video game, Jedi: Fallen Order!
We look forward to having you join us in February for memorable Music at Mason!
Warm regards,
