Dear Mason School of Music Family,

We are proud to present the Artemis Trio (Julianna Nickel, flute; James Nickel, horn; Sophia Kim Cook, piano) this Sunday at 7 pm in Harris Theater.  Please join us for more extraordinary Faculty Artist Series free performances featuring Mason's world-class faculty artists. Additionally, please plan to attend Mason's Wind Symphony and Symphonic Band concert on February 25 in a memorable program.

The Mason School of Music is well represented this weekend at the Mid-Atlantic Flute Convention with performances by our Mason Faculty Woodwind Quintet, Mason flute choir, and a lecture by Professor Julianna Nickel. Additionally, our Mason vocal artists are competing at the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) competition this weekend (held at the Old Dominion University campus).

Our Mason Music students and alumni are being recognized for their outstanding contributions to the world of music, as highlighted in this newsletter. We are excited that one of our fabulous vocal alumni, Aundi Marie Moore, had her recent Metropolitan Opera debut in Gershwin's Porgy and Bess

Thank you for supporting our terrific young artists. We look forward to seeing you at our Mason School of Music concerts, lectures, and recitals.

Warm regards,
Dr. Linda A. Monson
