We invite you to join us for upcoming virtual performances featuring our music students and faculty. Our   Mason Healing Arts Ensemble will present a unique Music for Well-Being feature today at 12 noon. Mason's Steel Pan Ensemble will be featured in an engaging performance this upcoming Monday at 12 noon.  We are proud to present our School of Music Finale Concert  Music in the Time of Quarantine  on Saturday, May 16th at 8 pm. This memorable concert showcases music created and performed by our extraordinary students and faculty during this global pandemic. Let the music continue!

Music for Well-Being Feature

Tune in to the Center for the Arts Facebook page on May 8 at 12:00 pm for a video from the Mason Healing Arts Ensemble and director Dr. Glenn Smith. Using powerful visual imagery and the power of intent, the Mason Healing Arts Ensemble will showcase JC Cantrell’s (MM Composition 2018; Certificate Music for Well-Being 2020) "Dissolution, Resolution, and Awakenings" as they ponder the coronavirus dissolving out of existence. With an introduction by Dr. Glenn Smith and JC Cantrell himself, this video is sure to ease and uplift during these uncertain times.
Steel Pan Ensemble

Join us for an upbeat and lively concert by the Mason Steel Pan Ensemble. Recorded last spring, the performance features original compositions by ensemble musicians, Domenic Lewis and David Singhaus, and a piece by the group’s ensemble director, Victor Provost.
Music in the Time of Quarantine: A Virtual Concert

This dynamic musical showcase celebrates Mason’s School of Music students and faculty through a variety of performances (including two world premieres), all created and performed during the current global pandemic. Produced with the help of Music Technology students, Music in the Time of Quarantine features Mason's University Singers, the Tuba-Euphonium Ensemble, University Chorale, Mason Jazz Vocal Ensemble, Faculty Brass Ensemble, and multiple chamber ensembles. Join Mason’s School of Music for this memorable performance and let the music continue!
