Dear Brothers,
Personnel Assignment
Bro. Jean Dossous has been assigned to the Kellenberg Marianist Community with continued ministry at St. Martin’s school for the 2020-2021 school year. We are thankful to the Province of Meribah for this continued collaboration.
Spirit of Saragossa
As you may remember, the Spirit of Saragossa is the retreat program that those preparing to profess perpetual vows attend. It is a one month program. NACMS has been developing “The Spirit of Saragossa in Daily Life” which is a program that places the retreat experience in a 20 week (5 month program). The retreatant walks with a retreat director during this time. Are you interested?

Dear Brothers,
Lent is Here
Amid our busy and hectic lives, the season of Lent arrives to remind us of our call to be holy and to allow God to hold us and to allow ourselves to hold God. The great Spanish priest, theologian, mystic and author of the
Spiritual Exercises,
Ignatius of Loyola, says,
“he who carries God in his heart bears heaven with him wherever he goes.”
During the 40 days of Lent, let's carry God with us intentionally as individuals and communities. Let's remember the words of
Pope Francis in his exhortation
Evangelii Gaudium, “I invite all Christians, everywhere, at this very moment, to a renewed personal encounter with Jesus Christ, or at least an openness to letting him encounter them; I ask all of you to do this unfailingly each day.”
- What are you thinking about as we approach this season?
- What are you and your community talking about as we anticipate together this season?

Dear Brothers,
LIFE Program Coordinator
Marianist Province of US
The Province is looking for an individual to carry on the role of LIFE Coordinator. As I reported earlier,
Toni Mesina has made the decision to leave the position effective August 1 to pursue a role back in the classroom.
If you know of anyone who would be interested in the position, please share the following information with them.
The Marianist Province of the United States is seeking a Marianist LIFE (Living in Faith Experience) Program Coordinator. LIFE is a national faith-formation program for high school students, rooted in Catholic teaching and the Marianist charism. Since 1970, Marianist LIFE communities have developed in many parishes and high schools. There are approximately 40 institutions actively involved with Marianist LIFE.
The Marianist LIFE Coordinator provides vision, leadership and support to Marianist-sponsored ministries and other ministries regarding Marianist LIFE and Marianist LIFE affiliated programs. This role supports Marianist-sponsored ministries throughout the academic year to sustain vibrant Marianist LIFE communities for students that support the mission and vision of Marianist LIFE.
The Coordinator is responsible for all planning, promotion and implementation of Marianist LIFE Summer Programs, including recruitment, training and supervision of Regional Coordinators and Coordinating Team members.
LIFE is based on Blessed William Joseph Chaminade’s vision for building a community of communities to change the world. Marianist LIFE provides students at Marianist and non-Marianist institutions opportunities to share faith, to learn from each other and to become instruments of peace.

Qualified candidates may send resume w/references to

Dear Brothers,
Lenten Reflection Guide
To honor our Province's ongoing commitment to the integrity of creation, the Province JPIC Advisory Committee recently endorsed the use of the
Maryknoll Lenten Reflection Guide for 2020. This guide's theme is "A Journey Toward Ecological Conversion" and offers reflections, questions, prayers and actions based on each week's scripture readings. We encourage you to use this guide individually or communally to reflect upon your life patterns, to pray more deeply and to renew your spirit to face the realities of our world.
Civilize It: Dignity Beyond the Debate
In preparation for the 2020 elections, the USCCB invites all Catholics to participate in civil dialogue for the common good. "Civilize It" is about making room in your heart for those with whom you disagree. We are called to recognize that each one of us is a beloved child of God and to respond in love to that reality. "Civilize It" is a non-partisan call to focus on the dignity of all people, even when we disagree, and to put faith in action by bearing witness to a better way forward. Anyone and everyone can commit together to honoring human dignity through civil conversation. Take the pledge, review the resources and promote the common good this election season.
