As most of you know, in January 2020 cHb acquired Advanced Tax Strategies, PC (ATS). We have added Mike Sommers and Bill Steinhart to our team; two very strong resources in the tax area.
Mike was the sole-owner of ATS and has been practicing as a CPA for over 35 years. He specializes in closely-held businesses and individual income taxes, estates, trusts, retirement planning, and accumulation and distribution strategies.
Bill has been practicing for over 30 years and has a deep knowledge in tax issues facing corporations, LLCs, partnerships, foundations, estates and retirement trust, including federal and state income tax, sales and use tax, excise tax, and estate and gift tax matters. His expertise has helped negotiate reductions in proposed tax assessments for clients, through tax research, substantiation, technique and negotiation with the IRS or state authorities.
An impending change is Jack Barrett’s move to another company. His last day at cHb Advisors will be Friday, September 4. Jack has been with cHb for over 6 years and was an integral part of our team. We wish him the best of luck in the future.
Ashley Choate has accepted the opportunity to assume the business manager role here at cHb. We are currently looking for her replacement, but this transition process allows for hands-on training with her replacement and a seamless shift in roles. cHb is excited to have Ashley continuing her career at cHb in this new role.
