Research Your Route

PLAN AHEAD

Before setting out on the road, research your route. If possible, avoid work zones and use available detours.

Pay Attention

STAY FOCUSED

Always keep your eyes on the road, especially in work zones. Be aware of all signage and avoid distractions such as your cellphone, eating, drinking, radio, GPS, and talking.

Slow Down

PROTECT WORKERS

Lane closures, traffic pattern shifts, and reduced speeds are common in work zones. Make sure to slow down when entering a work zone and keep a sharp eye out for construction workers.

Keep Your Distance

MAINTAIN EXTRA SPACE

Rear-end crashes are very common in work zones, maintain extra distance between you and the vehicle in front of you at all times.
