Become a vendor or sponsor for the 2023 Music in the Plaza series

Applications are now available for Tinley Park businesses interested in becoming a food and/or beverage vendor for the 2023 Music in the Plaza series.


In 2022, concerts drew between 5,000 to 9,000 attendees per night, and events are free to attend, family friendly, and highly popular. Bands will play from 7 to 10 p.m. select Saturdays. Applications will open to non-Tinley Park businesses starting May 19.


Sponsorships for this year's Music in the Plaza series are also still available. Tinley Park businesses will have exclusive first rights to sponsorships until April 7. Sponsorships will open to non-Tinley Park businesses after that time.

Village seeks vendors for 2023 Independence Day celebration

The Village of Tinley Park will host a festive, hometown Independence Day Celebration from 4 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 4 at the 80th Avenue train station and is looking for vendors who would like to participate.


Featuring a live band, games and activities for the entire family, food and beverages for sale, and an amazing fireworks show, this will be the go-to event for al!!


Openings for vendors will be available exclusively to Tinley Park restaurants and food providers on a first-come,-first served basis through May 15. Applications are open to other businesses after that date and are due May 26.

Block Party vendor applications open

The Village of Tinley Park will host its annual Block Party in July and is offering vendor spaces exclusively to Downtown Tinley businesses on a first-come, first-served basis through May 12. After that date, all Tinley Park restaurants/food providers will be considered (on a first-come, first-served basis).


The Tinley Park Block Party will take place from 2 to 10 p.m. July 15 and noon to 7 p.m. July 16 in Zabrocki Plaza, 17375 S. Oak Park Ave. The event will feature food and free family fun such as tropical bands on two stages, food vendors, beverages and a lot more!

Dementia workshop coming April 6

Representatives from Porter Place Memory Care Facility and the Illinois Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association will present an educational workshop targeted at training local businesses about Alzheimer’s disease and dementia from 3 to 4 p.m. Thursday, April 6 in the Council Chambers at Tinley Park Village Hall, 16250 S. Oak Park Ave.


The purpose of this training is for local businesses to be able to identify patrons that may have dementia or Alzheimer’s disease. Come out for helpful resources about the diseases and for ideas that businesses can implement to make their business more accessible to those with Alzheimer’s and dementia.


All businesses that attend the workshop will become an official “Dementia Friendly Tinley Park Business” and receive a free window decal to show off your business’s Dementia-Friendly status. Businesses also will have free promotion on the Tinley Park Dementia Friendly’s Facebook Page.


The purpose of the Facebook page is to: 


  • Educate the community on dementia and Alzheimer’s diseases
  • Provide resources to people with dementia and their caregivers to improve their quality of life
  • Notify community members of dementia-friendly events hosted by the Village

B2B Grant program opens April 5

Governor J.B,. Pritzker and the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) recently announced $175 million in available grant funding through the Back to Business (B2B) program for restaurants, hotels and creative arts businesses and organizations. Applications will open April 5 and will be due May 10. Visit the DCEO website to learn more about eligibility and program information.
