Holiday Market sponsorships available

The Village still has Silver Bells sponsorships and Deck the Halls sponsorships available for the 16th annual Holiday Happenings event this December!


Consider sponsoring the event to market your business to thousands of Tinley Park and south suburban residents this holiday season. The three-day event attracts about 15,000 to 20,000 visitors throughout the weekend.

Source Grow Grant available

Cook County recently announced its Small Business Source Grow Grant to assist small businesses as they recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. Now through Oct. 31, eligible for-profit small businesses can apply for $10,000 grants that don't have to be paid back.


Eligibility requirements include having operated and conducted business since March 2020 prior to the COVID-19 pandemic; employing less than 20 employees; and having experienced financial difficulties due to COVID-19.


The Southland Development Authority is offering application assistance to small businesses via phone at (708) 400-7087 or (708) 400-7326, or via email at [email protected].

Holiday readiness webinar coming Nov. 3

The Small Business Digital Alliance will host a webinar at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3 to discuss e-commerce opportunities this holiday season. 


Small business owners and entrepreneurs can learn tips on streamlining operations and protecting their business and customers in the global marketplace. Sign up today!

Toyland applications now available

Businesses are encouraged to sign up to participate in this year's Tinley Toyland Parade on Saturday, Dec. 3.


The parade will step off at 11:45 a.m. from the east lot of Bettenhausen Automotive and head north on Oak Park Avenue, ending in the north lot of the train station. In addition to ushering in Santa's official arrival, the parade will feature local school groups, sports teams, scouts, neighborhood groups and families.


Participants are encouraged to bring a new unwrapped children’s toy to carry in the parade. Toys will be dropped off at the Holiday Market and donated to a local charity.


To apply, just complete the parade entry form at TinleyPark.org/EventPartners and return it by Monday, Nov. 7. Showcase your community pride and help share the spirit of the holiday season!


Businesses hold ribbon-cutting events

Three Oaks Hospice recently held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new location at 18440 Thompson Court, Suite 103. Three Oaks Hospice delivers compassionate end-of-life care to patients in the Chicago area.

Theory Physical Therapy held a ribbon-cutting event at 7545 W. 159th Street. Theory Physical Therapy is an outpatient clinic founded on the principle that every patient should be treated with the highest quality of care and a continued pursuit of clinical excellence.

Assistance for small business owners

The Chicago Southland Economic Development Corporation and 4343 Ascending House are working with the Cook County Small Business Source program to offer free consulting services to small businesses. 


The Cook County Small Business Source program is dedicated to supporting small businesses in any stage of development. Advising services and resource topics include building business plans, finance sourcing, marketing and much more. See the program flyer to learn more.
