Be sure to check your online business information for accuracy
According to Blue Corona, a data-driven online marketing and analytics company, between 70 to 80% of people research a company online before visiting a small business or making a purchase with them. Inaccurate business information can negatively affect sales, growth and the overall health of the business.

With that in mind, please remember to check your website, social media platforms and business profile on major online directories to verify that your name, address, phone number, website, operating hours and products/services are correct.

Candice Stennett, vice president of marketing at SCORE, recommends doing quarterly reviews of website and online channels to ensure everything is up to date, working correctly and still relevant.
National Small Business Week this May
The Small Business Administration (SBA) will host National Small Business Week (NSBW) from May 1 to 7 to recognize the contributions of entrepreneurs and small business owners.

Small businesses are the backbone of the Tinley Park economy and are vital to the community. Small businesses can use NSBW as an opportunity to help their business in qualitative and quantitative ways. During the week, the Village will be sharing ways small businesses can raise brand awareness, recognize their employees and promote customer loyalty.

If you have any ideas you would like to share to help promote National Small Business Week, please reach out to Carolyn Mitera at [email protected].
