Mark your calendars for the 2024 Tinley Park Business Breakfast from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Thursday, May 9 at the Tinley Park Convention Center, 18451 Convention Center Drive.

The morning will include breakfast and a State of the Village report by Mayor Michael Glotz, followed with presentations by Lakota Group President Scott Freres and Thomas Walstrum (pictured), a senior business economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. The Village will also present the annual Business Recognition Awards.

Join the Small Business Administration’s Veterans Business Outreach Center for a one-day course at 9 a.m. Tuesday, April 8 at Prairie State College, 202 S. Halsted St., Chicago Heights.

The course will cover an overview of entrepreneurship and the necessary tools needed to launch a business. Veterans of all eras, active-duty service members, and spouses are eligible to participate.
