SBA announces EIDL deferment period
The Small Business Administration (SBA) recently announced it will provide additional deferment of principal and interest payments for existing COVID-19 Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) program borrowers for a total of 30 months deferment from inception on all approved COVID-19 EIDL loans.

The extended deferment period will provide additional flexibility to small business owners impacted by the pandemic.

The EIDL is a federal small business loan program that supports small businesses’ recovery from the COVID-19 disaster's economic impacts. The purpose is to provide financial assistance for small businesses to meet financial obligations and operating expenses that could have been met had the disaster not occurred.

Visit the SBA website for more information on the extended deferment period.

National Small Business Week this May
The Small Business Administration (SBA) will host National Small Business Week (NSBW) from May 1 to 7 to recognize the contributions of entrepreneurs and small business owners.

Small businesses can use NSBW as an opportunity to help their business in qualitative and quantitative ways. During the week, the Village will be sharing ways small businesses can raise brand awareness, recognize their employees and promote customer loyalty.

If you have any ideas you would like to share to help promote National Small Business Week, please reach out to Carolyn Mitera at [email protected].
