AHFA Multifamily Housing Revenue Bond Applications

Effective February 9, 2024, and until November 1, 2024, AHFA will accept Multifamily Housing Revenue Bond Applications, subject to AHFA requirements and available AHFA Bond Cap. Current Applications which meet all AHFA Bond closing requirements will be processed and closed on a first-come, first-served basis.


“First-come, first-served” for applications received after February 9, 2024, and eligible applications submitted from the previous year, means the date on which an applicant has both (1) delivered a fully executed bond commitment agreement (which will not occur until the application, including environmental review, is deemed complete) and (2) paid the required commitment fee.


The potential closing dates of pending applications submitted to AHFA may vary based on multiple factors including, among other criteria:


  • Application quality and completeness, including environmental review
  • Applicant’s evidence of a firm financing commitment(s) from applicable source(s)


All applications will be processed subject to the current year’s (2024) available bond cap. If there is no available 2024 bond cap for the remainder of the calendar year, pending applications may be considered for the 2025 bond cap subject to availability.


AHFA makes no representations or warranties regarding the availability of private activity bond cap allocation pursuant to the Multifamily Tax-Exempt Bond Authority Program.


AHFA reserves the right to modify, suspend or amend this Multifamily Housing Revenue Bond Policy in any respect at any time, with or without notice.
