Water and Sewer Rates

Effective January 1, 2024, the typical* residential customer water bill in MUD 6 will increase about $6 per month to offset the rising costs of the equipment, supplies, energy, and labor needed to provide water and sewer services.

Retail water and sewer rates have increased 6% since 2019, compared to a 19% inflation rate over the same period (U.S. Department of Labor and Statistics).

* The typical residential customer uses 10,000 gal of water a month and has an average sewer volume of 6,000 gal a month.

MUD Taxes

The 2023 MUD 6 tax rate ($.071842) is 7% lower than 2022 ($.077434).

The 2023 MUD 6 tax rate is 10% lower than 5 years ago, 2019 ($.08).

The 2023 MUD 6 tax rate is 92% lower than the average Montgomery County MUD tax rate ($.8474).
