Delta Independent Science Board Meeting

The Delta Independent Science Board will meet to discuss its reviews and activities on August 17, 2023, at 9:00 AM. The meeting will include a discussion on its review of the draft Pyrethroid Research Plan by the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board and forming the Delta lead scientist interview panel.

The Delta ISB, with support from the Delta Science Program, is hosting a seminar series to explore concepts from decision-making under deep uncertainty.

The third seminar of the series will also take place on August 17, 2023, from 12:00 PM-1:00 PM via Zoom. Dr. Andrew Parker, senior behavioral and social scientist at the RAND Corporation and professor at the Pardee RAND Graduate School, and Dr. Jody Wong, associate policy researcher at the RAND Corporation, will discuss the development and application of scenarios and their uses with decision-making under deep uncertainty. The Delta ISB meets monthly. Members of the public may observe and participate in the meeting either in person at a teleconference location (listed in the meeting notice) or through Cal-Span or Zoom. More information is available in the notice linked above.

The Delta ISB advises the Delta Stewardship Council and provides oversight of the scientific research, monitoring, and assessment programs in the Delta through periodic reviews.
