Greetings Shadow Rock Family,
We are pleased to introduce the Rev. Dr. Tim Tutt as a candidate to serve our congregation. After a thorough and thoughtful discernment process, the Search Team unanimously recommended Rev. Dr. Tutt to the Board, affirming his strong gifts for pastoral leadership, preaching, congregational care, and community engagement.
Rev. Dr. Tutt is an ordained United Church of Christ minister whose ministry has included pastoral leadership in Austin, Texas, and Bethesda, Maryland, as well as nonprofit leadership and consulting. His background reflects a deep commitment to faithful preaching, public theology, justice, and compassionate presence within the life of a congregation. Here is the link to his profile.
Rev. Dr. Tutt will preach his candidacy sermon during worship on Sunday, August 23. Following the service, there will be a congregational meeting for members to vote on his candidacy.
We encourage all members to attend worship, remain for the meeting, and prayerfully participate in this important moment in the life of our congregation.
Prior to his sermon on Sunday, August 23, 2026, there will be an open house on Saturday, August 22, 2026 from 10:00 am to 11:30 am at Shadow Rock for everyone to stop by and meet Tim.
