The Santa Barbara Women’s Political Committee continues its evaluation process as the 2026 cycle unfolds. The upcoming Endorsement and Advocacy (E&A) meeting, scheduled for Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at 5:45 p.m., is a critical session. During this meeting, the Committee will deliberate on recommendations for the following high-profile state races.

| • | California State Superintendent of Public Instruction
|

These recommendations will be advanced to the Board of Directors for final endorsement consideration.

Public Comments
|
| |
Members are welcome to participate in the Public Comment section of the meeting. Each member is limited to a one-minute comment. Alternatively, you can submit a concise (one-minute) written comment that will be read by the Elections and Appointments Chair. Please click below to send your brief comment.

Endorsement Closed Session | Board Only

After considering the public comments and CAT reports, the Board will convene in closed session to deliberate and vote. Members, guests, and candidates will be requested to leave the meeting during this time.

|

The endorsement results will be first shared with each candidate via call or email by a member of the CAT who interviewed them. After contacting everyone, the results will be shared electronically with the membership, on social media platforms, and through news releases.
