September 26, 2024 Meeting Notice

Join us on September 26 in Stockton!

The Delta Stewardship Council’s monthly meetings are the definitive place for the public to learn about and comment on the implementation of the Delta Plan. Our next meeting will be held on September 26, 2024, at 9:30 AM, at the Hilton Hotel in Stockton, CA (2323 Grand Canal Boulevard, Stockton, CA 95207).

Among other agenda items, two long-term Council projects will be presented. The draft Tribal and Environmental Justice Issue Paper, which was released for public comment earlier this month, will be presented to the Council, and a discussion will be held with community partners. The second long-term project, the 2024 Delta Plan Five-Year Review, will also be presented and will be considered for adoption by the Council.

Additionally, the Council will hear from the Delta Watermaster Jay Ziegler on his office’s activities related to the Delta Plan, including an update on the newly released Delta Drought Response Pilot Program Water Year 2023 Report. The California Department of Water Resources will also provide an update on ongoing activities concerning the Delta Conveyance Project, including ongoing and upcoming steps related to planning and permitting efforts.

More information about ways to participate and the detailed agenda is available at the link below.

A recording will be posted via Cal-Span.org.

About the Council

The Council works to advance California’s coequal goals for the Delta – a more reliable statewide water supply and a resilient Delta ecosystem – in a manner that protects and enhances the unique characteristics of the Delta as an evolving place where people live, work, and recreate.

We carry out this mission by implementing the Delta Plan, an enforceable long-term sustainable management plan, to ensure coordinated action in the region at the federal, state, and local levels.
