Between March 1 and June 30, BC Hydro will be conducting tree maintenance in the Qualicum Beach area to reduce the risk of power outages and improve safety for workers and the public.

BC Hydro's tree contractor will be limbing trees that are encroaching into Hydro line limits. The outlined area on the map identifies the areas in which limbing is scheduled inside the Town's boundaries.

In addition, approximately 19 trees have been identified as either dead or dying that are at risk of striking nearby Hydro lines. Where possible and safe to do so, the contractor will “wildlife” the tree, limbing and topping the tree to about six meters to allow use by birds and insects.
