Renewing Tour Guide Licensing Advisory
As the Belize Tourism Board (BTB) continues to work with stakeholders to rebuild the tourism industry, we hereby advise that the annual Tour Guide License Renewal Fee will be waived for all currently licensed tour guides, i.e. tour guides with a license bearing an expiration date of July 31 2021, who apply before July 31, 2021.
Requirements for ALL Renewing Tour Guide Applicants

Completed Application Form signed and dated

Valid original Police Record (not older than six (6) months from submission)

Original Medical Certificate* from a registered Medical Practitioner (dated within 3 months from date of submission) template attached

Copy of valid CPR/First-aid certificate from a recognized provider (BERT, RED CROSS, PADI and any other verifiable accredited instructor

Copy of valid Dive Master or Dive Instructor Card from recognized dive institutions (PADI, NAUI, DAN, SSI, TDI, etc. Certification (if applicable)
Please note the following:

Submit the completed, signed application form with all supporting documents by email to [email protected]. Kindly include in the subject line of the email, “Tour Guide Application, Name and License number”. An email acknowledging receipt will be issued within 2 business days which evidences receipt of your application. If an acknowledgment email is not sent to you, then your application was not received.

Any tour guide who applies for renewal after July 31st and any new tour guide applicant will be required to submit all supporting documents and make payment of the prescribed fee.
(N.B. Any Tour Guide who fails to complete the entire renewal process before July 31, 2021 and continues to operate is deemed to be operating illegally. It is an offence to operate without a valid license and any person found guilty of said offence is liable on summary conviction to a fine and/or to imprisonment.)
