Changes to the Club Online Credit/Debit Card Payment Platform

and Downtime for the Members Only Area of the Club Website

As advised in the weekly eNewsletter last week, our online credit/debit card payment platform is changing as the existing provider is closing their service. The switch over to the new platform operated by Verifone will take place on Monday 3 JulyThis will entail some disruption to the booking and payment system in-house between the hours of 10 am and 12 pm on Monday morning and the Members Only area of the Club website will be offline for most of the day.

 

Once the new service goes live members who pay any bill online by credit or debit card will no longer be able to do so, until they have logged onto the Members Only area of the Club website and re-enter their card details. This will also affect overseas members who pay their membership subscription by card.

 

The new platform conforms to the latest guidelines in secure payment processing including Secure Customer Authentication (SCA) for online payments where customers (most customers unless in a region of the world where it is not supported) will be asked to approve the payment in their banking app or from them entering an authentication code sent to them via SMS or email.

When logging into the Club Website, go to ‘My Account’, ‘Make a Payment’ here you will be able to register your payment card to facilitate any further payments you make online.

You will be able to save your payment card for your use for any future payments. You will be asked to confirm your permission for the Club to use the card stored on the system for other payments as they become due for payment. Members who pay their subscription by credit/debit card must confirm permission for the Club to use their card for other payments as they become due, otherwise, we will be unable to collect your subscription via this method.

 

This will validate the card at the Verifone Global Gateway (VGG) and store the card credentials in a secure and PCI compliant manner. By registering your payment card, you will be able to select the card to make further payments without having to re-enter the details.
