"Elections belong to the people. It's their decision. If they decide to turn their back on the fire and burn their behinds, then they will just have to sit on their blisters." -  Abraham Lincoln

Behind the scenes of Amor Puro y Duro

Contemplating and encouraging action for social change is a constant in our lives, but it's important to take time to reflect on our accomplishments and nourish ourselves as well.

Our November newsletter focuses its 20th Anniversary spotlight on two decades of socially conscious filmmaking, in an exciting wrap up of the many ways we have pushed cultural transformation forward over the years. We've tried to keep this month's edition short and sweet and encourage you to share accomplishments that make you proud. Thank you for your continued support!

This month's song is Lizzo's song " Good as Hell," a powerful anthem to make all you sistahs feel good as hell!

Deep Run Trailer

DEEP RUN is a powerful verité portrait of trans life in rural North Carolina. Exiled by her family and rejected by an ex-partner, 17-year-old Spazz has no one to lean on for support. But when Spazz falls in love again and summons up the courage to become Cole, a strong-willed trans-man, his candid humor and steadfast, all-inclusive Christian beliefs counter the bigotry he experiences every day.  An intimate study of young outsiders in an insular Christian community, DEEP RUN explores the intersection of modern identity and faith in the American South.  Executive produced by Susan Sarandon.

F ew things on Earth are as miraculous and vital as seeds, worshipped and treasured since the dawn of humankind. SEED: The Untold Story  follows passionate seed keepers protecting our 12,000 year-old food legacy. In the last century, 94% of our seed varieties have disappeared.
